Costing is the application that keeps track of the value of items in the manufacturing and supply chain. You can assign accounts to manufacturing transactions. Costing keeps the value of raw material, work in process, and finished goods in line with the value in the Oracle General Ledger. You can use the bills of material and routings to roll up the costs of raw materials, manpower, machine resources, and other factory overhead.
