Management in a manufacturing plant or a distribution center is all about utilizing resources effectively. You have a product to deliver in a certain amount of time that consumes some materials, manpower, and machine time and can be produced using one or more methods.
Materials represent both the direct raw materials and indirect materials such as lubricants and coolants that are used during the production process. The manpower and machine resources perform the work in producing your products.
