In this chapter you will learn about Discoverer Viewer 10g Release 2 (10.1.2), another part of Oracle Business Intelligence. In the first edition of this book, we did not cover Viewer at all. There was good reason for that. Four years ago the tool did not offer much, and we were really not very impressed with it. We do, however, think that this release of Viewer is really terrific.
Viewer is a thin-client HTML-based version of Discoverer Plus. It is packaged with Plus, so if you are using Desktop only, you will not have access to Viewer.
