Using the History iframe

As stated in Table 9-1, both Safari and IE7 need an iframe to be updated for history entries to be generated. This iframe is the one contained in main.html.inc and is shown in the following code, as well as in the main.html.inc file found at the beginning of the previous section of this chapter.

This iframe is positioned left of the viewable area so that it cannot be seen by the user. It is not set to be a hidden iframe since some browsers refuse to load the source URL in that case.
