Summary

You have seen how to design, create, and use objects in PHP and JavaScript. While each is somewhat different in the way they are defined and used, the concepts and ideas behind them are the same. You have also seen a procedural application converted to be object-oriented. This same code has been written in both JavaScript and PHP. One of the beautiful things about reaching this point is that the front controller and the application controllers shown in this chapter can now be reused for many applications. This and the ease of their use will allow you to rapidly create applications. Chapters 5 through 11 of this book cover the creation of VCOs and BCOs for a medical data system as examples of this ease and speed of use.
