Configuration
These views provide information about the current configuration of the Oracle environment:
- V$COMPATIBILITY
Lists features in use by the current instance that would preclude reverting to a previous release of the Oracle software. Since these are instance based, some of the features may disappear if the database is shut down normally.
- V$COMPATSEG
Lists permanent features in the database that would preclude reverting to a previous release of the Oracle software.
- V$EVENT_NAME
Contains descriptive information about all possible wait events.
- V$LICENSE
Contains a single row specifying the maximum numbers of concurrent and named users allowed, as well as the highwater marks.
- V$MLS_PARAMETERS
Lists the initialization parameters and their current values for Trusted Oracle. The format is the same as V$PARAMETER.
- V$NLS_PARAMETERS
Contains the current values for each of the National Language Support (NLS) parameters.
- V$NLS_VALID_VALUES
Lists the valid values that each of the NLS parameters can take.
- V$OPTION
Lists the Oracle options that have been installed with the Oracle software.
- V$PARAMETER
Lists all INIT.ORA parameters and their current settings. It also indicates whether the current value is specified in the INIT.ORA file or is the default value, as well as whether the parameter is modifiable with an ALTER SYSTEM or ALTER SESSION command.
- V$STATNAME
Lists the name for each statistic stored in V$SYSSTAT and V$SESSTAT.
- V$SYSTEM_PARAMETER
