New Views with Oracle8

In support of the new functionality delivered with Oracle8, additional dynamic performance data dictionary views have been provided. These are listed in Table 14.7. Most of the new dynamic performance data dictionary views support the new Recovery Manager (RMAN) or the integration of the Oracle Parallel Server’s Distributed Lock Manager (DLM) into the Oracle kernel.
