QMNn—the Queue Monitor process

This optional process, which exists only in Oracle8, is used by the Oracle Advanced Queuing Option to monitor message queues. Up to 10 Queue Monitor processes (QMN0 through QMN9) may be configured using the INIT.ORA parameter AQ_TM_PROCESSES. Note that a failure of a QMNn process will not cause the instance to fail.
