Tablespace Point-in-Time Recovery

Tablespace point-in-time recovery is a new feature implemented with Oracle8. With tablespace point-in-time recovery, you are able to recover one or more tablespaces to a point in the past, independent of the other tablespaces. The tablespaces to be restored are referred to as the recovery set. However, note that the SYSTEM tablespace cannot be recovered using tablespace point-in-time recovery.
