Summary

In this chapter, we took a look at the numerous options for RMAN configurations and also the recovery scenarios of different kinds of possible crashes. Although it's not tough to perform recovery, when there is an actual crash, it's quite possible that panic may strike if you are not comfortable with the process to resolve the issue. Thus, I would strongly suggest that you don't wait for the crash to happen in your production database, but that you practice recovery for these cases more than once, such that you can recover from either of them, even with your eyes closed.
