Starting with Oracle Database 11g and higher, Oracle provides several tools that help automate the SQL tuning process. This chapter focuses on the following automated SQL tuning tools:
- Automatic SQL Tuning Advisor
- SQL tuning sets (STS)

- SQL Tuning Advisor
- Automatic Database Diagnostic Monitor (ADDM)
