Logical Replication

Adatabase, as the name implies, is a place to store data, but as DBAs, we are often most interested in the physical properties and implementation of the database. For example, we may want to create a backup of the database, create a standby database, or maintain a specific file of an unplugged, pluggable database (PDB). We know that if we understand these mechanisms well, when required, we can create a one-to-one copy of the database or restore the database to the exact same state as before—bit-for-bit.
