CHAPTER 7 Oracle Database BI and Data Warehousing New Features
Oracle Database 11g offers a wealth of new features that relate to business intelligence (BI) and the Oracle Data Warehouse. Several new partitioning features are introduced, in addition to virtual columns and features related to statistics collection. Additionally Oracle Data Pump is improved, as are materialized views. The pivot and unpivot clauses are introduced, and finally, table compression is much improved. In this chapter, we will cover all these features in much more detail.
