Accessing and Using SQL*Plus Interface
The Oracle Database 10g XE product provides you with two interfaces to access, insert, update, or delete data, as well as to create, alter, and drop structures in database instances. Both interfaces enable you to interact with the database by using Structured Query Language (SQL). If you are unfamiliar with the concepts of SQL, please check Appendix H before continuing with this segment.
Oracle SQL*Plus is both an interactive environment where you can enter SQL statements and process them one by one, or where you can run scripts as batch submissions. Scripts are small SQL programs or collections of programs found in a single file.
