Combining Criteria to Expose Missing Data

Once we have determined that a negative report is needed to expose missing records in our report, we can design the combined analysis that will show the desired records. We know that a negative report is sometimes necessary when reporting on a primary record type along with columns from a related (secondary) record type. When the record from the primary record type has a related record from the secondary record type, the record appears in the report. When the primary record type record does not have a related record of the secondary record type, the record does not appear in the report.
