Up to this point, we have adhered to the rule that each criteria report has the same number of columns, and that translates to a set of result columns that also has the same number of columns as the underlying criteria reports. While we will always have to adhere to the rule about the same number of columns in the criteria reports, we can develop combined reports that result in more columns than are present in the criteria. Result columns allow us to perform calculations using data across multiple criteria reports, even when the source columns are from different subject areas.
