Who Will Use the Dashboard?
Knowing the users of the dashboard is as important as knowing what they plan to do with it. You will design a dashboard differently for different users. For instance, a dashboard for all users of Oracle CRM On Demand is likely quite different from a dashboard used by senior management. Among the design considerations are level of data access, volume of data based on that access, type of information included, and the detail granularity of that information. Of course, who is viewing the dashboard affects the reports that you choose to include just as much as, if not more than, other design considerations.
