About the Authors
Nitin Vengurlekar has been in the IT industry for 20 years, initially starting out as a Multiple Virtual Storage (MVS) and DB2 systems programmer supporting large mainframe environments. Later he moved into Unix systems and storage administration roles and managed a team of Oracle DBAs. For the past 12 years, Vengurlekar has been working for Oracle Corporation and has been continually involved with performance tuning projects, backup and recovery planning, as well as numerous storage-related projects with Oracle partners. Additionally, he is author of several Oracle white papers and is a popular speaker at Oracle seminars.
