Implementing SSL
SSL, or Secure Sockets Layer, is a protocol for transmitting secure information over the Internet. All communication between server and client is encrypted to prevent unauthorized access during transmission. In some situations, it may be beneficial (or a requirement) to implement SSL for your OracleAS Portal to prevent sensitive information from falling into the wrong hands. This section provides an overview of the most common SSL configurations for OracleAS Portal and describes the procedures necessary to implement them.
