Summary

OmniPortlet and Web Clipping provide a bridge between the OracleAS Portal development wizards and using a complex tool like Oracle JDeveloper to create portlets. OmniPortlet and Web Clipping are declarative wizards, but they overcome some of the limitations associated with the other OracleAS Portal declarative wizards discussed in Chapter 1.

OmniPortlet can query data from numerous data sources and display that information in a variety of formats.
