Summary

In this chapter we have explored the advanced concepts on entity objects and view objects. Specifically, we discussed the lifecycle of both entity objects and view objects, and then went through a bunch of generic usage patterns for these components with examples. We concluded this chapter with an example to programmatically build business components at runtime.

As we progress with other layers in the ADF framework in the coming chapters, we will discuss more and more advanced features. The fine-tuning parameters available for business components will be discussed in Chapter 12, Oracle ADF Best Practices. In the next chapter, you will learn about the ADF application module, the service layer for the business components' stack.
