Conventions

In this book, you will find a number of styles of text that distinguish between different kinds of information. Here are some examples of these styles, and an explanation of their meaning.

Code words in text are shown as follows: "$CRS_HOME\log\nodename\racg contains logfiles for the VIP and ONS resources".

A block of code will be set as follows:

$ clscfg -concepts
clscfg: EXISTING configuration version 3 detected.
clscfg: version 3 is 11G Release 1.
clscfg -- concepts and terminology

Any command-line input or output is written as follows:

# crsctl set css misscount 90
Configuration parameter misscount is now set to 90.

New terms and important words are shown in bold. Words that you see on the screen, in menus or dialog boxes for example, ...
