Abstract

With the rapid growth of industrial wireless network and auto-ID technologies (e.g., radio frequency identification, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi), many manufacturing companies adopt these advanced technologies to track and trace the real-time manufacturing activities. However, amounts of distributed manufacturing data are obtained by the sensors, most of which are often meaningless and cannot be used by the upper level managers directly.
