IoT-Enabled Smart Trolley
Abstract
Large amounts of real-time and multisource manufacturing information is created by the wide application of auto-ID devices in manufacturing shop floors. In this chapter, a novel material handling model is proposed to improve the decision making based on the real-time and multisource manufacturing information. Comparing with existing central material handling method, the proposed method allows each trolley to request the move task actively, and each trolley could get the optimal move tasks according to their real-time status.
