Abstract:
This chapter introduces some very different categories of optical switches as complementary contents for the knowledge gained from the previous chapters. This chapter first reviews the developments in designs and applications of fiber switches, holographic switches and quantum optical switches. Then the chapter provides some examples of specific optical switches.
