1/f Noise A form of intrinsic noise that has a power spectral density that is inversely proportional to frequency. For voltage or current spectral density, 1/f noise is inversely proportional to the square root of frequency. 1/f noise is typically an issue for low frequency applications (i.e., less than 1 kHz).
