Configuration Information Presented in NNM Maps

The NNM root map displays all the network maps. It usually contains a solitary submap, the Internet submap, but it may contain others such as a layer 2 physical topology map, an IPX map, a storage-attached network (SAN), or a map created by another bolt-on OpenView application.

The Internet submap displays the overall configuration and structure of the IP network. It shows only layer 3 connection devices (such as routers, layer 3 switches, Ethernet switches with a routing module [1] , and multihomed hosts) and IP subnets.
