Using Autolayout and Overlay Features

A few minor but very user-friendly features available in NNM are the autolayout and the overlay features.

The Internet submap is usually customized. A great deal of sweat equity is built into this one map, and a single indiscretion can wipe out the work. Therefore, the very first step in map customization is to turn “autolayout off for this submap.” Be very cautious not to turn “autolayout off for all submaps” because you’ll find a lot of icons on top of each other inside the subnets and segment submaps later on.

Map overlay is a very handy, time-saving feature. Turn it off for the Internet submap. Make the Internet submap the home map. When a user opens the map, it displays the Internet submap as intended. ...
