The Trove API

This appendix describes the Trove API in detail, and documents the various interfaces that Trove provides. We use 'curl' and show how one can interact with Trove using its RESTful API.

The Trove API Service End Point

In the following examples, we interact with the Trove API service end point which is at http://192.168.117.5:8779. Port 8779 is, by default, the port that the Trove API service uses. This is configurable and if you so desire you could change the value of bind_port in trove-api.conf.
