Part II. Application Design with Swift

This section of the book is aimed at developers, ranging from those new to Swift and rusty on HTTP, all the way up to Swift veterans who want to develop their own middleware. We show you the principles of interacting with Swift through RESTful HTTP requests, which are the underlying basis for Swift libraries in many programming languages. Although most chapters show interaction using command-line tools in order to stay at a general level, we will also introduce you to libraries for several languages and will provide some full Python examples. The last chapter in this section discusses the development of middleware, which allows you to extend Swift.
