Summary

In this chapter, we looked at the basics of the Neutron API and its data model, made up of networks, subnets, and ports. Those objects were used to describe in a logical way how the virtual network is architected and implemented across the cloud. Now that we've covered the fundamentals, let's take a look at the various ways in which users can interface with Neutron. In the next chapter, we will explore the use of the Neutron CLI client and Horizon dashboard to create and manage Neutron resources.
