Neutron is the network management component. With Keystone, we're authenticated, and from Glance, a disk image will be provided. The next resource required for launch is a virtual network. Neutron is an API frontend (and a set of agents) that manages the Software Defined Networking (SDN) infrastructure for you. When an OpenStack deployment is using Neutron, it means that each of your tenants can create virtual isolated networks. Each of these isolated networks can be connected to virtual routers to create routes between the virtual networks.
