About the Author

Paul Martz is a senior software engineer at SimAuthor, Inc., in Boulder, Colorado, where he creates OpenGL-based flight-data visualization software. Before working at SimAuthor, Paul worked in the Graphics Software Lab at Hewlett-Packard and the Workstation Graphics Division at Evans & Sutherland.

Paul has been involved in computer graphics since 1986, with 3D graphics systems software and OpenGL device driver development at the heart of his career. In 1993, Paul developed performance-sensitive code for Evans & Sutherland’s first OpenGL product.
