Acknowledgments

This book is the result of the labor of many people. The first glory goes to my wife, Mimi Dvorak, who spent months doing most of the necessary rewrite work. She has a knack for bringing things to a consumer level, whereas I would prefer more technical discussions, and Chris Pirillo would prefer discussing sales. She also is better than all of us combined when it comes to arguing with copyeditors.

Credit also to Wendy Taylor, the former editor of PC Computing. Wendy's job was to control the workflow and maintain contact with all the people who worked on the project. This was no easy chore because each chapter had a team of people from various companies and organizations trying to attack a specific topic with precision.
