Domain Names
If you've gotten rights to a domain name, particularly within one of the more common top-level domains (.com, .net, .org), you know how hard it can be to find one. What makes it even more frustrating is that many desirable ones have been registered but are not in use. This is called squatting.
This commonplace scenario is frustrating, especially when a domain name is desired for a specific use, such as corporate branding. Domain squatting is quite common. Recent legal precedents have set tight restrictions on it, especially when trademark infringement is at issue.
