Webcams are great. They are the Dick Tracy and Jetsons future we've all been waiting for. You can sit down and talk—on your computer—face to face with friends and relatives. You can see your new grandbaby and visit with relatives on holidays. You can see the next blind date—which will take the terror out of that first meeting. It's easy to see the business applications, such as video conferencing and video mail. Right now there are many webcams monitoring the roads and passes.
