Web Tools to Enhance Your Web Site
There are tools available to enhance your Web site further. This is a brief description of the major tools. A more detailed description is available in Chapter 14.
JavaScript
JavaScript is a scripting language that can be used to add some interactive elements to a Web site, such as a button rollover effect, for example. JavaScript source code can be placed directly into the HTML of a Web page and is now widely supported by virtually all Web browsers.
JavaScript's ability to interact with an HTML source makes it a powerful language, and because of its open architecture, anyone is free to use it without license.
