Refunds

If the transaction was on an auction site, request a refund of your final value fees. Also report the buyer so that he or she is warned, watched by the site, and hopefully banned. Prepare for the following buyer scams, as well.

Bid Shielding

An unscrupulous buyer places multiple bids at an auction to discourage other buyers from bidding, then cancels the bids in the waning minutes of an auction, lowering the price of the item at the last minute. An accomplice bids immediately and wins the item at a significantly reduced price. Avoid this by placing reasonable reserves on your items.
