Host Select Live Portions for Free on Your Site
One of the coolest things currently happening online is hosting live events on places like Google+ hangouts and Ustream. I give you more detail about these venues in Chapter 13.
Some people simply won’t be able to attend your event. Lots of those people would love to feel like they are participating in some way besides checking out the live tweets. Give them live footage of segments that you decide on in advance. You may even decide to give away an entire session for free, hosted live on a Google+ hangout via your brand page there or via Ustream.
You can even give online watchers a special hashtag in order to tweet and share their impressions as the presentation is happening. Consider acknowledging them during the presentation; that way, they’ll feel more included.
