Prominently Display All Tweets with Your Event Hashtag

Nothing makes tweeting more fun for participants than seeing their tweets projected onto a huge display for all other attendees to see. Only tweets with your designated hashtag will show up, so this encourages everybody to stay on track so that you can monitor and respond to what’s being said.

Note, however, that this can backfire if your social media isn’t being monitored adequately by having a bunch of tweets advertising a problem where no solutions are being offered. If you’re monitoring adequately, this is a good way to demonstrate that you’re on top of things and are responding to issues in real time, which really contributes to how well people will perceive your brand. At some large conferences I attended, the huge leaderboard on their “Tweet wall” showed the names of the people who tweeted the most at the event at any given time. It adds to the energy of the event and demonstrates that they’re being transparent. Get all the perspectives on this before you make your decision.
