Earlier, we defined an online community as a group of people who regularly interact with each other on a website. By this definition, social networking websites are online communities in their purest form. In other types of communities, member interaction is focused around a specific theme such as cars or travel reviews, but in a social network, member interactions themselves are the main focus and activity.
