Integrating new members

New members, as we’ve said, start out with a high level of interest, but they are also skeptical. They have not yet built up any loyalty toward your website, and they can leave as easily as they’ve come. The first website experience of new users is therefore critical. Their natural enthusiasm has to be satisfied right away. The new user also needs to feel welcome and reassured. It is intimidating for many people to try to use a new website, and far more so when their actions are visible to other members.
