Sourcing Candidates on the Web
We wish we could offer a definitive list of Web recruiting resources. But the world changes too quickly. Instead, here are broad suggestions to get you started:
1. Find and engage thought leaders. People with expertise showcase their knowledge on the Web by blogging, commenting on blogs, and answering questions posted by others:
a. Find the thought leaders with web searches.
i. Google
ii. About (“About.com is an online neighborhood of hundreds of helpful experts, eager to share their wealth of knowledge with visitors.”).
iii. Technorati (“founded to help bloggers succeed by collecting, highlighting, and distributing the online global conversation. b. Comment on thought leader blog postings to start the conversation.
c. Attract the thought leaders you seek by posting questions on Q&A pages.
