Typography is an art of finding and shaping relationships between elements, from largest to smallest and smallest to largest. Now that you understand the technical and aesthetic sides of evaluating typefaces, let’s zoom out a little more and talk about how typography’s smaller building blocks come together as a communication system. In the next two chapters, we’ll explore how content elements within a design affect one another and how the nature of the medium itself shapes our designs.
