Despite all of my years of schooling, the majority of my work involves something I learned to do in kindergarten: read.
My secret weapon, though, is I am pretty adept at not sounding like I'm reading when I am. This is not something I learned in kindergarten—in fact, it's not something most people ever learn at all.
Thankfully, I received some good coaching early on, and I've added my own plays to the playbook over the years to make them my own. In this section, I will open up that playbook for you, and let you in on the tricks perfected over two decades of reading on camera. The section is divided into the following chapters:
