A component of certain SQL statements that specifies a result table.
- query block
The part of a query that is represented by one of the FROM clauses. Each FROM clause can have multiple query blocks, depending on DB2's internal processing of the query.
- query CP parallelism
Parallel execution of a single query, which is accomplished by using multiple tasks.

- quiesce point
A point at which data is consistent as a result of running the DB2 QUIESCE utility.
