Defining a table space

This section provides more detailed information about three different types of table spaces—segmented, partitioned, and LOB. Each type of table space has its own advantages and disadvantages. DB2 divides table spaces into equal-sized units, called pages, which are written to or read from disk in one operation. You can specify page sizes for the data; the default page size is 4 KB.
