Chapter Twenty-Five. Numeric Processing and Graphing

Numbers, numbers everywhere! Sometimes it seems that modern organizations run on numbers and that trying to make sense of all this data is a hopeless task. We all know that summarizing numeric data in charts can be a powerful tool, but sometimes the very task of creating those charts occupies more time than managers and supervisors are able to spend. Fortunately, Office automation can ride to the rescue again. By using VBA to automate the numeric and charting capabilities of Office applications, graphical summaries of important data can be provided on an instant and automatic basis. The project developed in this chapter shows one example of how this can be done.
