Working with Charts

Creating charts is one of Excel's strong points. You can choose from a wide variety of chart types suitable to just about any data you can imagine. You have the common types such as bar charts, line charts, and pie charts, as well as more specialized types such as scatter charts, radar charts, doughnut charts, and stock quote charts. You have full control over many aspects of chart display, including colors, backgrounds, titles, legends, and axes. I strongly recommend that you spend some time working with Excel charts to gain some familiarity with the options available, as it is impossible to present all the details within the space limitations of this chapter.
