What's New in Office XP

Office XP offers quite a few new features for the user, such as speech recognition, handwriting input, and an enhanced multi-item clipboard. For the developer, however, the changes from the previous version are minimal. The VBA language is unchanged, and the Office 2000 object model has been brought over essentially as-is. This means that legacy Office applications can be expected to run in Office XP without modification. The few changes that have been made to the object model are additions—new objects, properties, and methods to provide the developer with additional features.
